Copper is a malleable, ductile metal with a typical red-brown colour. Sometimes called “red gold”, it is one of the oldest metals in history: we have traces of its use dating back to as early as 8700 B.C.. When exposed to air and water, copper combines with the oxygen they contain and forms a layer of oxide on the surface: this extremely resilient patina, firmly anchored to the metal underneath it, acts as protection, also known as “positive corrosion”. Copper not only combines with oxygen but also with other elements present in the environment, producing compounds with varying appearance, giving your TakTisch a unique look and character all of its own.
Copper is highly used in furnishing to give objects a touch of tradition, making rooms warmer and cozier.
